David Dey of Fairport holds a B.A. in accounting and business administration
from Delaware State University
and an M.S. in management from Roberts
Wesleyan College. David moved to Rochester in 1991 and shifted careers
from public accounting to the not-for-profit sector where he spent five
years working with community development agencies. In 1996, David went to
work in the City of Rochester
Planning Bureau.
In December 2002, David spearheaded the development of the Institute
for Social Entrepreneurship at Roberts
Wesleyan College
by securing a two-year research grant from the B. Thomas Golisano
Foundation. In 2005, David spearheaded the creation of RISEGO, Inc., a
not-for-profit organization dedicated to creating leaders and young social
entrepreneurs in schools and communities
